Discover Mexico Park Cozumel offers an exciting and informative experience of the culture, art, and history of Mexico.

Alebrije Workshop admission gives you access to all common areas, including Video Experience Room, Museum of Mexican Traditional Arts, Dioramic Garden, “Mercadito” Snack Bar, Margarita Center, and the Papantla Flyers Show.

You will be accompanied by a certified Bilingual Guide; your guide will help you understand and discover Mexican culture from within. (Tips and gratuity not included.)

In this tour you´ll be enchanted by the brightly colored Mexican handcrafts called “Alebrijes.” Learn the history and technique behind carving and painting these mythical creatures.

Alongside skilled Mexican artists, you’ll put your hands and creativity to work by customizing your very own Alebrije. This experience includes an “Alebrije Kit” with all the necessary tools that you may need.

Perfect family activity. (Usually children over 4 years enjoy it the most, but kids all ages are welcome.)

  • Become enchanted by the brightly colored Mexican handcrafts called “Alebrijes.” In this tour you’ll have the opportunity to customize your very own Alebrije alongside skilled Mexican alebrije artists, and you’ll learn the history and technique behind carving and painting these mythical creatures that have been an iconic part of Mexican art since the early 1900’s. Perfect for all guests of all ages! Upon arrival to Discover Mexico Park, you’ll relax in air-conditioned comfort as you view our exclusive four-screen video collage. The culmination of two years travel and filming, this award- winning presentation brings one of the world’s oldest and richest cultures vividly to life. Vibrant images from all over the México will take you from the Riviera Maya through Oaxaca to Chihuahua.

    Next, you’ll explore Discover Mexico Park, which includes our Museum of Popular Arts and our botanical gardens full of dioramas showcasing the history and culture of Mexico. Be sure to check out one of Pedro Linares’ original Alebrijes from Oaxaca in the museum as well, and be inspired by works of art from all over the country. Your tour guide, who will remain with you throughout your visit to the Park, is well-versed in all aspects of Mexican culture and history and will be happy to offer interesting facts and information and to answer any questions you may have.

    After the tour, you are invited to see the Paplanta Flyers show- a unique aerial performance honoring Mexico’s ancient “voladores”.
